Located in the South Hams Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Gara Rock sits beside the longest walking route in the UK - the Southwest Coast Path. However, there are many other unique hikes that take you off the coast and into the interior, up verdant river valleys or through woodlands full of gnarled and twisted trees.

If you take off down the coast path, either direction will pay off with a wonderful hike. Head east towards Prawle Point and experience the rugged beauty of this rocky coastline, with spectacular turquoise waters and hidden coves. Head west and you will round the end of the peninsula as Salcombe appears before you - white houses tumbling down an emerald green hillside.
