We are open!
We just couldn’t wait until 17 May to see you… so we’ve opened our self-catering apartments, Junior Suites and Garden Junior Suites, which have mini kitchens, from Monday 12 April (how exciting)!
During this time our pools will be open with bookable time slots per family / guest to keep you safe, we’ll be offering limited spa treatments and the Garavan is available for food and drinks on our outside terraces.

So, if you feel like getting away and escaping it all on the Devon coastline, why not book our self-catering suites, take in the fresh sea air, enjoy a relaxing treatment, go for a long walk and then head back to Gara.
Sadly, our main restaurant & bar, along with all other hotel accommodation, will remain closed just that little bit longer.
Then bring on the full re-opening on Monday 17 May, when everything in the hotel will be fully open, and we will be fully opening the bar and restaurant (in line with the social distancing procedures), and of course all of the hotel suites!

The frequency of cleaning of our guest areas has increased specifically including but not just limited to; reception, lounge, bar, restaurant, cinema room, spa, pool, hard surfaces, door handles, public bathrooms, etc and we have continued the use of appropriate and recommended types of disinfectant and cleaning materials.
We naturally continue to clean on both arrival and departure of all internal and external areas of our guest accommodation, all linens, towels, etc are professionally cleaned, and replaced, and we have enhanced cleaning procedures in place for our housekeeping teams.
Gara Booking Promise
In these unprecedented times, things are changing at the drop of a hat. But don't let that stop you from planning your getaway and enjoying a relaxing stay with us at Gara Rock.
That is why we have created our booking promise. If your holiday has to change, due to UK Government health measures and either the hotel has had to close or if it is unlawful for you to travel or stay overnight due to the tier restrictions at your primary residence then we will move your booking free of charge* or issue you with a credit voucher** and of course if necessary we'll give you a full refund.
No Fuss, No Hassle, No Problem.
*Move your booking - We will help you move your booking to a later date with no fees, if the cost of your new stay is higher than your original booking, then you’ll need to pay the difference, if it's lower we will refund the difference.
**Credit Voucher – If you are not sure when you want to rebook for, we can issue you a credit voucher for the amount you have currently paid for your stay. We will hold the credit safely and securely for you and issue you a credit voucher for you to use when you are ready to book. The credit vouchers can be used on stays arriving before 31st December 2021.
